DESCRIPTION

48087 is a crimp tooling component designed for wire termination processes in electrical connector applications. The tooling is engineered to achieve proper crimp quality with typical design parameters including crimp height (CH) of 0.068-0.073 in, crimp width (CW) of 0.110 in, and crimper leg taper of 3.0 degrees. The anvil width is nominally 0.109 in with a nominal anvil to crimper total clearance of 0.005 in. This tooling supports achieving an area index (AI) design point of approximately 80% for optimal crimp performance. It is commonly used in production termination processes where crimp height, pull test values, and crimp symmetry are critical quality measures.
