DESCRIPTION

The 465665-1 is an insertion tool tip designed for the AMP FASTIN-FASTON .187 Series modular connector system. This tool tip is part of the insertion tool assembly and is used to facilitate the hand insertion of receptacles and tabs into the polyamide connector housings. The FASTIN-FASTON system supports modular 3-position housing modules that can be combined to create connectors with 3, 6, 9, 12, or 15 positions, with individual contacts rated for up to 15 A load capacity. The insertion tool tip works in conjunction with the grip (part 465629-1) to enable reliable and efficient assembly of these multi-position connectors. This tool is essential for field assembly and maintenance of FASTIN-FASTON connector systems used in industrial and electronic applications.
