DESCRIPTION

2-640357-4 is a 14-position DIP socket designed for through-hole vertical mounting on printed circuit boards. It features dual-leaf phosphor bronze contacts with gold plating (15 µm) and a row-to-row spacing of 7.87 mm with a centerline of 2.54 mm, providing standard DIP package compatibility. The socket has a closed frame design with straight legs, a height of 5.33 mm above the PCB, and solder post length of 3.25 mm, making it suitable for both manual and automatic insertion processes. With an insulation resistance of 10,000 MO and contact resistance of 30 mO, combined with a thermoplastic glass-reinforced housing rated UL 94V-0, this socket delivers reliable performance in production environments up to 125°C and is wave solder capable to 240°C.
