DESCRIPTION

2315640-8 is an 8-position male on board through-hole connector from TE Connectivity's Micro-MaTch Value-line Connector Family. This miniature connector features a 1.27 mm (0.050 inch) centerline pitch, designed to save space on printed circuit boards while providing reliable gas-tight and corrosion-free connections with insulation displacement contacts. The connector is suitable for automatic placing and termination, and accepts standard ribbon cable. Common applications include home automation, alarm equipment, mobile GPS devices, lighting systems, air and climate control units, CCTV, and electronic voting machines.
