DESCRIPTION

The 225532-4 is a MIL-DTL-38999 Series III style high-current circular connector designed for rugged aerospace, defense, and marine environments. This jam nut receptacle connector features a nickel finish (standard), with options for olive drab cadmium or zinc cobalt plating, high-performance thermoplastic insulators, and fluorinated silicone seals. The contacts are gold-plated copper alloy, providing excellent corrosion resistance and electrical conductivity. The connector operates reliably across a temperature range of -65°C to +175°C, withstands random vibration up to 5 g²/Hz (50-2000 Hz per MIL-DTL-38999), and maintains a dielectric withstand voltage of 1500 VAC with insulation resistance of 5000 MO minimum at 500 VDC. With 500 mating cycles durability and altitude rating to 30,000 m (100,000 ft.), this connector is ideal for signal, power, and control applications in harsh aerospace and defense systems.
