DESCRIPTION

HPCR0819AK220RST is a high-performance axial leaded non-inductive bulk ceramic resistor designed to handle high peak power and high-energy pulses in a compact size. The resistor features a bulk ceramic construction that inherently eliminates inductance and uniformly distributes energy throughout the entire body, eliminating failure points associated with film or wire elements. It is rated for 2W average power at 40°C ambient (derating linearly to 0W at 230°C), 170J peak energy, 1100V peak voltage, and 150A peak current for pulses under 10 milliseconds. The device operates over a temperature range of -55°C to +230°C with a resistance temperature coefficient of +0/-800 PPM/°C and exhibits 700VAC dielectric strength. This resistor serves as a drop-in replacement for carbon composition resistors and is ideal for pulse waveform circuits, EMI/EFI test circuits, RF dummy load circuits, and capacitor dump applications where high energy absorption and reliability are critical.
