DESCRIPTION

HSA252K0J is a 25-watt aluminium housed power resistor from the TE Connectivity HS Series, engineered for stable, high-quality performance in demanding industrial applications. The resistor delivers 25 watts dissipation at 25°C with a heatsink and 12.5 watts without one, with an operating temperature range of -55°C to +200°C and a maximum working voltage of 500V (DC or AC rms). It features a resistance range from 0.01 ohms to 36 kilohms with ±5% standard tolerance, low inductance wire wound construction, and excellent long-term stability with resistance change of only 1% over 1000 hours. The unit is mounted on a standard heatsink with 53,500 mm² area and 1 mm thickness, utilizing 2 mounting holes for secure installation. Common applications include braking resistors, balancing resistors, capacitor charging and discharging circuits, crowbar protection, and general electrical machinery use, where reliable power dissipation and thermal management are essential.
