DESCRIPTION

The 2029100-8 is a VAL-U-LOK Series vertical header assembly from TE Connectivity designed for wire-to-board connector applications. This header assembly features a 4.2 x 4.2 mm centerline spacing and is available with or without mounting pegs and drain holes, supporting 2- through 24-position configurations. The assembly accepts stranded copper lead wire ranging from 26 AWG to 16 AWG (250–2800 CMA), with standard contacts supporting wire sizes 26–22 AWG, 22–18 AWG, and 16 AWG, while TPA-compatible contacts support 26–22 AWG and 22–18 AWG. The header is polarized to prevent mis-mating and comes pre-loaded with contacts for manual or automatic robotic installation on printed circuit boards. This connector system is ideal for power applications requiring reliable wire-to-board terminations in industrial, automotive, and telecommunications equipment.
