DESCRIPTION

The 1877285-8 is an AMP Economy Power (EP) shrouded post header designed for wire-to-board applications with 8 positions and a 0.156 inch (3.96 mm) centerline system. This fully shrouded header eliminates mismatings and provides complete mating alignment with existing EP and EPII plug housings featuring receptacle contacts. The connector operates at a voltage rating of 250 VAC with a maximum current rating of 7.5 amps, a dielectric withstanding voltage of 1.5 kV AC minimum, and an operating temperature range of -25°C to +105°C. The housing is constructed from PBT glass-filled material (UL 94V-O) with brass contacts finished in 1.0 µm tin over 0.8 µm nickel, ensuring durability and reliable performance. This connector is ideal for household appliances, HVAC systems, industrial machinery, and other applications requiring robust power distribution with positive audible latch feedback.
