DESCRIPTION

1326979-1 is a stamped and formed contact designed for use with AMPSEAL 16 connectors in industrial and commercial transportation applications. The contact is available in multiple configurations supporting wire sizes from 14 to 20 AWG (0.5 to 2.0 mm²) with insulation diameters ranging from 1.27 to 3.33 mm, and is offered in both gold and nickel finishes. The contact supports wire insulation with a dedicated insulation support feature and is supplied in both strip form (4000 pieces per package) and loose piece configurations (1000 pieces per package). These contacts are engineered to meet stringent electrical performance requirements, including a maximum voltage drop of 100 millivolts at specified test currents (8 to 13 amps depending on contact size), ensuring reliable signal transmission in demanding automotive and industrial environments. The contacts are compatible with PRO-CRIMPER III and CERTI-CRIMP II hand tools, as well as OCEAN applicators for both manual and automated assembly processes.
