The device maintains constant trip current across a wide temperature span, unlike thermal circuit protectors, and is available in DC, 50/60Hz, or 400Hz versions with various delay options to match specific application requirements. The protector features a critical "trip free" action that ensures the circuit opens in the presence of an overload even when the handle is held in the ON position, providing enhanced safety.
