DESCRIPTION

The R-78K5.0-2.0 is a non-isolated, single-output DC/DC switching regulator module designed to deliver a stable 5V output. It operates over a wide input voltage range of 6.5V to 36V and provides up to 2.0A of output current with high efficiency up to 96%, eliminating the need for a heatsink. Key features include continuous short-circuit protection with automatic recovery, a low quiescent current of 10mA, and a typical output ripple of 100mVp-p. This regulator can operate in ambient temperatures from -40°C to +90°C without derating. Housed in a compact, TO-220 compatible SIP3 package, it serves as an efficient, space-saving replacement for traditional 78 series linear regulators.
