DESCRIPTION

The 80099183 is a high-efficiency switching regulator from the R-78HBxx-0.5 series, designed as a pin-compatible replacement for 78xx linear regulators. It operates over a wide input voltage range of up to 72VDC and delivers an output current of up to 0.5A. With an efficiency reaching 96%, it dissipates very little heat, removing the need for external heatsinks. The regulator features low output ripple and noise, continuous short circuit protection, and thermal shutdown for enhanced reliability. Its high input voltage tolerance and robust protections make it ideal for industrial applications, telecommunications, automotive systems, and battery-powered devices.
