DESCRIPTION

The 80000146 is a non-isolated switching regulator from the R-78K-0.5 series, delivering a 0.5A output current. It operates over a wide input voltage range of 4.5VDC to 36VDC and features an efficiency of up to 96%, which eliminates the need for a heatsink. The device provides continuous short circuit protection with automatic recovery and can operate in ambient temperatures from -40°C to +90°C without derating. Housed in a compact, TO-220 compatible SIP3 package, it is designed as a pin-compatible replacement for traditional 78xx series linear regulators, saving board space and improving energy efficiency.
