DESCRIPTION

The EF8556-000 is a compact, in-line, splice-terminated data bus microcoupler for use in MIL-STD-1553B multiplexing applications. It features a lightweight, low-profile design, with a maximum weight of 10 g for a single stub version and 15 g for a two-stub version. The component is environmentally sealed, has a temperature rating of 150°C, and provides reliable solder termination with potted circuit elements for maximum durability. It also features 360° continuous low-impedance cable shield terminations and offers altitude immersion resistance. Its compact, in-line profile enables flexible wire bundle mounting and optimum coupler locations in avionics systems, while its rugged design ensures a Mean Time Between Failures (MTBF) greater than 1,000,000 hours.
