DESCRIPTION

The D-436-0184 is a sealing cap used with parallel crimp splices to produce environment-resistant stub splices. It is constructed from a heat-shrinkable, transparent blue, radiation cross-linked modified polyvinylidene fluoride insulation sleeve with a clear, fluorocarbon-based thermoplastic sealing liner. As supplied, the sleeve has a minimum inner diameter of 2.15 mm, and after heating, it recovers to a maximum inner diameter of 1.37 mm with a minimum wall thickness of 0.30 mm. The D-436-0184 operates over a temperature range of -55°C to +150°C. It is designed for applications using wires rated for at least +125°C, providing a durable and sealed connection.
