DESCRIPTION

The 866259-000, also known as D-436-37-COLD, is a Mini-Seal crimp splice designed to create a reliable, environmentally sealed, in-line connection between wires. It accommodates a wire range of 18 to 16 AWG and requires no heat for installation, making it a safe choice for applications such as on fueled aircraft. The splice features a transparent polyvinylidene fluoride insulation sleeve, a tin-plated copper crimp, and a clear, flame-retardant silicone-based gel that protects and seals against moisture ingress. This component operates over a temperature range of -65°C to 150°C and meets SAE AS81824 specifications. Its robust design provides high tensile strength, excellent fluid resistance, and reliable performance in demanding aerospace, defense, and marine environments.
