DESCRIPTION

The 484438-E is a MicroStac mezzanine connector featuring a 0.8 mm pitch hermaphroditic design that allows identical connectors and mating connectors, reducing bill of material and storage costs. It provides two contact points between mated contacts with a wipe length of up to 1.5 mm for high reliability, and is available in board-to-board stacking heights of 3 mm and 5 mm. The connector supports current ratings up to 1.6 A per contact (50-pin version at 20°C ambient), operates over a temperature range of -55°C to +125°C, and features SMT assembly compatibility with large radiating surfaces on contacts. The insulation body is constructed from PPA material with a CTI value greater than 600 and UL 94 V-0 flame rating, while contacts are made from copper alloy with gold plating in the mating area. These connectors are ideal for stacked board applications in compact electronic devices requiring reliable high-density interconnection with minimal space requirements.
