DESCRIPTION

The MWTM-140/42-1200-S(B5) is a medium-wall, heat-shrink tubing designed for robust insulation and core protection on low to medium voltage cables. Constructed from cross-linked, UV-stabilized polyolefin, it features a 3:1 shrink ratio, expanding from a minimum diameter of 140 mm and recovering to a maximum of 42 mm with a minimum recovered wall thickness of 3.1 mm. This tubing provides high mechanical strength with a minimum tensile strength of 14 MPa and excellent electrical characteristics, including a dielectric strength of at least 10 kV/mm. The material is halogen-free, non-corrosive, and can be supplied with an inner hot-melt adhesive coating for a reliable moisture seal. Common applications include insulating and sealing low voltage power cable joints, terminations, and various other electrical connections.
