DESCRIPTION

The M39029/17-172 is a military-qualified socket contact intended for AS81511 Series III connectors. This contact features a size 23 mating end and is designed for a size 22 AWG wire at the crimp end. As indicated by the TE part number 81543-23L, it has localized gold plating of 50 micro-inches over a nickel underplate for enhanced durability. Installation requires an M22520/2-01 crimp tool with an M22520/2-16 positioner, while the M81969/16-04 tool is used for both insertion and withdrawal. These contacts are ideal for high-performance aerospace, defense, and marine applications where reliable, mil-spec compliant connections are critical.
