DESCRIPTION
DCIE31-3 is an SMA receptacle RF connector designed for panel mount applications in aerospace, defense, and marine environments. This connector meets MIL-C-83517 specifications and features a 50 ohm impedance characteristic with gold-plated center contacts to a minimum thickness of 0.00005 inches per MIL-G-45204, Type I, Grade C. The connector body is constructed from corrosion-resistant steel per ASTM-A582 and ASTM-A-484, Type 303, with beryllium copper and PTFE fluorocarbon components. Key dimensional specifications include a center contact diameter of 0.0930 to 0.0946 inches and an overall receptacle length designed to meet MIL-STD-348A interface requirements. This connector is widely used in high-reliability RF applications including C4ISR systems, commercial and military aerospace platforms, ground defense systems, and missile defense programs where robust interconnection and consistent electrical performance are essential.
