DESCRIPTION

D38999/52F17R is a metal protective connector cover designed for MIL-DTL-38999 Series IV receptacle connectors in shell size 17, featuring a rope lanyard attachment style. The cover is constructed with an aluminum alloy body, silicone-based rubber gasket, and passivated stainless steel rope with polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) cover, providing rugged environmental sealing and corrosion resistance. It meets MIL-DTL-38999 Series IV specifications with a fastener tensile strength minimum of 25 lbs, air leak rate not exceeding 1 atmospheric cubic inch per hour, and coupling torque within MIL-DTL-38999 Series IV requirements. The cover is finished in Nickel (F-class) plating and protects connectors against dust, foreign objects, and moisture intrusion in the unmated condition. This product is widely used in military and commercial avionics systems, ground vehicles, radar systems, and missile launch platforms where connector protection is critical.
