DESCRIPTION

The HC-5C is a 0.100-inch grid commercial relay designed for industrial switching and RF applications. It features a hermetically sealed construction with 2 Form C (DPDT) contact arrangement and gold-plated contact materials (gold/platinum/palladium/silver alloy) for reliable performance. The relay operates at a nominal coil voltage of 5.0 Vdc with a coil resistance of 64 ohms (±20% @ 25°C) and a maximum coil power of 391 mW @ 25°C. Contact resistance is specified at 100 milliohms maximum before life testing and 200 milliohms maximum after life testing, with a mechanical life expectancy of 1 million operations. The HC-5C is rated for continuous duty cycle operation with a pickup voltage of approximately 3.8 Vdc (70% of nominal) and offers excellent RF switching capabilities with dielectric withstanding voltage of 350 Vrms between contacts and coil. This relay is ideal for industrial control systems, telecommunications equipment, and applications requiring hermetically sealed switching with low contact resistance and high reliability.
