DESCRIPTION

609-2027E is a ribbon cable connector receptacle designed for mass termination applications in wire-to-board interconnect systems. It features a 0.050" [1.27 mm] cable pitch and is part of the 609 Series female socket connectors, enabling simultaneous termination of multiple conductors without requiring cable stripping or pre-preparation. The connector is manufactured with thermoplastic housing (UL 94 V-0 rated) and phosphor bronze contacts plated with gold on the mating end and tin in the wire termination area over nickel. This design provides reliable electrical connections and labor savings in equipment assembly, particularly for connecting one board to another within electronic systems. The connector is RoHS compliant and available in multiple position configurations to accommodate various cable conductor counts.
