DESCRIPTION

The 969029-2 is a tab contact for the AMP MCP 1.5K connector system, engineered for automotive and electronic applications requiring reliable single-wire termination. This contact is part of the Single Wire Sealing System (SWS) with Modified Spring configuration and accommodates wire sizes from 0.2 to 0.5 mm² with insulation diameters of 1.2–1.6 mm. The contact is manufactured from CuFe2 material with pre-tin plating (finish code -2), providing excellent corrosion resistance and current-carrying capability. It features a protected contact spring design within a closed box structure and includes overstress protection, making it suitable for demanding automotive powertrain, safety, and body systems. The contact is supplied in strip form with a package quantity of 4,000 units and is compatible with applicator x-1528068-x and hand tool 539663-2, enabling efficient high-volume assembly in motor vehicle interconnection applications.
