DESCRIPTION

The 917992-7 is a side lock component for 26-position mating plugs within the .040/.070 hybrid I/O connector series. Designed for wire-to-board applications, this component is constructed from PBT material and is compatible with systems using a wire size range of 0.2 mm² to 1.25 mm². As part of the Mark II plug housing design, the side lock mechanism prevents incomplete contact insertion and ensures the plug cannot mate with the cap unless the lock is properly engaged. This feature provides a secure and reliable connection for automotive applications, including ECUs, powertrain systems, and safety and security modules.
