DESCRIPTION

787596-5 is a high-profile CHAMP Series I blindmate receptacle connector designed for reliable board-to-board interconnections. This 80-position connector features a 1.27 mm (0.050 in) centerline pitch and vertical through-hole PCB mounting with retention legs for secure attachment. The housing is constructed from Liquid Crystal Polymer (LCP) with a UL 94V flammability rating, while contacts are made of phosphor bronze with gold (30) over nickel plating in the mating area. The termination post length is 3.18 mm (0.125 in), and the connector supports multiple lead-free solder processes including wave solder up to 265°C and reflow solder up to 260°C. Common applications include SCA2 (Single Connector Attachment) and SCSI interfaces where high-density, blindmate connectivity is required.
