DESCRIPTION

532447-5 is a high-density AMP-HDI board-to-board connector plug assembly designed for demanding aerospace, military, industrial, and data communication applications. This 120-position vertical connector features a 6.35 mm (0.25 inch) post length with board locks and Twin Beam Contacts that enable closed-entry MFB1 (make first, break last) sequencing. The connector is constructed with gold-plated copper alloy contacts over nickel and glass-filled thermoplastic housing (UL94 V-0), providing excellent mechanical and electrical performance in vibration and shock environments. It supports a maximum current rating of 3A per contact with a contact resistance of 15 mO, operates reliably across -65°C to 125°C, and withstands 250 mating cycles with a mating force of 2.5 oz (14.1g) maximum average per contact. This connector is ideal for aerospace data processing, communications hubs, power supply distribution, and industrial instrumentation where high-density interconnection, reliability, and rugged performance are essential.
