DESCRIPTION
The 280003-2 is a standard MAG-MATE magnet wire terminal designed to terminate copper magnet wire film insulations without requiring pre-stripping of conductors or post-insulation of terminations. This terminal operates within the MAG-MATE Inserter system, which automatically cuts terminals from a strip, positions them over magnet wire into plastic cavities, and simultaneously strips the film insulation using small penetrating devices. The terminal produces a clean, stable, gas-tight electrical termination by removing oxides and contaminants from both the conductor and terminal slot sidewalls through metal-to-metal contact. Excess magnet wire is automatically trimmed flush with the cavity exterior by a shear blade, with the severed end tucked inside the plastic cavity if necessary. The system is available for semi-automatic bench operation or integration into fully-automatic production lines, providing uniform terminations at the lowest applied cost for applications requiring reliable magnet wire connections.
