DESCRIPTION

2-5178238-7 is a 50-position receptacle header assembly with retention legs designed for PCB mounting applications. This connector features a 1.27mm (0.050") contact pitch with gold plating (0.76µm) on the contact area and tin plating on the solder tine area. The housing is constructed from UL 94V-0 rated thermoplastic in black, with a zinc diecast housing featuring nickel plating and a steel metal shell. Key dimensions include 42.8mm (F), 42.50mm (E), 52.40mm (D), and 46.50mm (C), with a maximum insertion force of 21.56N per connector and minimum retention force of 4.9N per connector. This lead-free connector is suitable for applications requiring reliable board-to-board or cable-to-board connections with secure PCB retention.
