DESCRIPTION

1971861-1 is a Gen 4 seal for the PV4 male cable coupler used in photovoltaic connectivity systems. It is designed to accommodate cable outer diameters from 6.0 mm to 8.0 mm and supports wire sizes of 4.0 mm² (12 AWG) and 6.0 mm² (10 AWG). The connector features a withstanding voltage of 1000 V DC and a current rating of up to 35 A for 4.0 mm² wire and up to 40 A for 6.0 mm² wire, with a contact resistance of 0.25 mO typical. The housing is constructed from polycarbonate (PC) with tin-plated copper contacts, and the connector achieves IP 68 protection when mated. This seal is commonly used in solar panel interconnection systems where reliable, weatherproof connections are essential for long-term outdoor performance.
