DESCRIPTION

1-968882-3 is a stamped and formed (S&F) receptacle contact designed for use in HDSCS and LEAVYSEAL connector systems. This size 2.8 contact accommodates wire sizes from 0.5-1.0 mm² with insulation diameter of 0.055-0.083 inches (1.4-2.1 mm) for FLR insulation types. The contact is constructed from CuNiSi (copper-nickel-silicon) alloy with selective silver plating for enhanced conductivity and corrosion resistance. With a current rating of up to 40 amps, this contact is suitable for high-current industrial and commercial transportation applications requiring reliable electrical connections in environmentally sealed connector systems.
