DESCRIPTION

The 1658538-2 is an HDP-20 crimp snap-in D-subminiature connector kit designed for cable assembly applications requiring 50 contact positions. The connector features a tin-plated steel shell with a 94V-0 rated thermoplastic insert (black), tin-plated steel shield, and standard clinch nut mounting method. It accommodates cable outer diameters in the range of 0.338–0.480 inches with a maximum inner cable bundle diameter of 0.450 inches after jacket and braid removal. The connector dimensions are specified as Dim. D: 2.120 inches and Dim. E: 1.876 inches. This kit is commonly used in industrial machinery, medical instrumentation, computers and peripherals, RAID storage arrays, file servers/routers, tape storage systems, workstations, and on-machine industrial communications where reliable D-subminiature connectivity is required. All part numbers are RoHS compliant.
