DESCRIPTION

The 1-2308342-5 is a D-Sub backshell assembly designed for dual D-Subminiature connectors with quick-lock pin mounting in a bracket using a locking ring for panel installation. This backshell features a screw strain relief cable exit option that requires no special tooling, providing fast and simple installation with a two-piece cable clamp for effective strain relief. The design includes ribs to prevent cable retention and allows for maximum compression to approximately 50% of the original cable volume. The backshell is constructed from full metal die-cast material, ensuring fire and smoke compliance, and supports M3 or UNC4-40 thread options with 225°, 180°, and 135° cable outlet configurations. This product is ideal for applications requiring robust cable management in high-vibration environments and systems requiring EMI/EMC shielding compliance such as EN50155 systems.
