DESCRIPTION

1-215877-3 is an 8-position unshielded modular jack designed for direct mounting on printed circuit boards with side entry (right-angle) configuration. The jack features a polyester housing rated UL 94V-0 for flame retardancy and phosphor bronze contacts with selective gold plating for reliable electrical performance. It meets FCC Part 68 regulations, REA PE-76, and UL 1863 standards with a 1000 VAC dielectric withstanding voltage (contact to contact) and 150 volts AC maximum voltage rating. The jack provides 750 mating cycle durability and maintains PC board retention of 10 lb (44 N) after soldering, making it suitable for telecommunications and networking applications requiring robust, cost-effective connectivity solutions.
