DESCRIPTION

PS1-VOC-1000 is a compact electrochemical VOC (volatile organic compound) gas sensor based on SGX's solid polymer electrolyte technology, operating on the principle of catalytic reaction to generate a current proportional to gas concentration. The sensor delivers a sensitivity of 55 ± 15 nA/ppm with a measurement range of 0–1000 ppm, a lower detectable limit below 1 ppm, and fast response times (T50 < 10 s, T90 < 30 s). It operates as a 3-electrode amperometric sensor with a bias voltage of 0 mV, recommended load resistor of 100 O, and warm-up time less than 60 seconds, functioning across a temperature range of -40°C to +55°C and humidity range of 15–95% RH. The sensor features a compact PPO housing weighing less than 0.7 g, offers an expected lifetime exceeding 3 years in air with long-term drift less than 1%/month, and is individually calibrated. Common applications include general gas detection, consumer air quality monitoring, mobile device odor sensing, and low-power detection systems where high sensitivity and minimal cross-sensitivity are required.
