DESCRIPTION

The 8253 is a 4' × 24' (1.2 m × 7.3 m) dissipative vinyl table roll mat from the 8200 Series, designed to meet ANSI/ESD S20.20 standards tested per ANSI/ESD STM4.1-2017 for static control work surfaces. The mat features a three-layer construction: a durable static dissipative vinyl top layer that safely discharges static-laden conductors while protecting printed circuit board pins, a highly conductive scrim middle layer providing the primary discharge path to ground, and a static-dissipative foam bottom layer offering a durable nonskid cushion. The mat measures 0.140" (3.5 mm) thick with a Shore A hardness of 78 on the top surface, surface-to-ground resistance of 1 × 106 to <1 × 10? ohms, and surface-to-surface resistance of 1 × 106 to <1 × 10? ohms. Available in gray color, the 8253 includes two 15' (4.6 m) ground cords and two single snap fasteners (not pre-installed) for grounding and securing to work surfaces. This product is ideal for electronics assembly, repair, and testing environments where static discharge protection is critical, and is compatible with constant monitors for continuous ESD monitoring.
