DESCRIPTION
SKU 10023 is a 2" × 3" open top static shielding bag manufactured by 3M (SCC 1000 series) with metal-in construction designed to provide a static-safe environment for sensitive electronic devices. The bag features a four-layer laminate construction consisting of a static dissipative polyethylene outer layer, aluminum shield, polyester dielectric, and static dissipative coating, which together provide Faraday effect shielding of electrostatic discharge and damaging ESD fields. Key electrical properties include interior surface resistivity less than 10¹² ohms/square, metal layer resistance of 100 ohms, static shielding voltage less than 30 volts, and static decay time less than 2 seconds. Physical specifications include a tensile strength of 4700 PSI, seam strength greater than 10 lbs, 40% light transmission, and a thickness of 3 mils. These bags are tested to meet ANSI/ESD S541, EIA 625, and ANSI/ESD S20.20 program compliance standards, making them ideal for protecting sensitive components during storage, handling, and transport in electronics manufacturing and assembly environments.
