DESCRIPTION

The R-78K6.5-0.5 is a non-isolated DC/DC switching regulator designed to deliver a regulated 6.5V, 0.5A output. It operates over a wide input voltage range of 4.5VDC to 36VDC with high efficiency up to 96%, which eliminates the need for a heatsink. The device provides full load operation across an ambient temperature range of -40°C to +90°C without derating and includes built-in undervoltage lockout and continuous short-circuit protection with automatic recovery. As a pin-compatible replacement for linear 78-series regulators, it offers significant efficiency improvements in a compact SIP3 package for various industrial and general-purpose applications.
