DESCRIPTION
The OHB3040 is a Hallogic Hall-effect sensor assembly designed for non-contact switching operations. It consists of a Hall sensor and a rare earth magnet mounted in a plastic housing, integrating a linear amplifier and Schmitt trigger on a single silicon chip. This device operates over a broad supply voltage range of 4.5 V to 25 V and features an open-collector output that can sink up to 25 mA, with stable characteristics at switching frequencies from DC to over 200 kHz. Due to its excellent temperature stability and ability to perform in dirty environments, it is ideal for applications such as harsh environment encoders, assembly line automation, and machine safety systems.
