DESCRIPTION

The PFE5K2R20E is a PFE series Powr-Rib® edgewound resistor designed for high-power applications requiring low resistance. It provides a resistance of 2.2 Ω with a standard tolerance of ±10%, a power rating of 745 W, and a continuous current rating of 18.4 A. Constructed from a heavy resistance alloy on ceramic insulators with a metal mounting bracket, it features movable clamp-type terminals that allow for setting intermediate resistance values. This rugged resistor has a temperature coefficient of ±500 ppm/°C and can withstand a short-term overload of ten times its rated wattage for five seconds. Its design is ideal for industrial power equipment and other applications demanding reliable performance at high operating temperatures.
