DESCRIPTION

The MCP73831T-2ACI/MC is a highly advanced linear charge management controller designed for space-limited, cost-sensitive applications. This model provides a preset constant regulation voltage of 4.20V with ±0.75% accuracy and supports a programmable charge current ranging from 15 mA to 500 mA. It employs a constant-current/constant-voltage algorithm and features a preconditioning current of 10% and a charge termination threshold of 7.5% of the programmed current. Integrated features include a pass transistor, current sensing, and reverse discharge protection, all housed in a compact 8-Lead 2x3 mm DFN package. Its minimal external component requirement makes it ideal for portable devices like Bluetooth headsets, MP3 players, and USB chargers.
