DESCRIPTION
The MCP4728A0-E/UN is a quad, 12-bit voltage output Digital-to-Analog Converter (DAC) featuring on-board nonvolatile EEPROM memory. It operates on a single supply from 2.7V to 5.5V and provides four buffered analog outputs that can achieve rail-to-rail swing. The device allows for the selection of either an internal 2.048V precision voltage reference or an external reference (VDD) for each channel. Its on-board EEPROM stores DAC input codes and configuration bits, allowing outputs to be available immediately after power-up. Communication is handled via a high-speed I2C-compatible serial interface supporting up to 3.4 Mbps. This DAC is ideal for applications such as set point adjustment, sensor calibration, and portable instrumentation where settings must be retained during power-off cycles.
