DESCRIPTION

The 297005 is a fast-acting MINI blade terminal fuse designed for automotive electrical circuit protection in low-voltage systems. It is rated for 5 A at 32 VDC with an interrupting rating of 1000 A at 32 VDC and features a nylon body with silver-plated terminations. The fuse exhibits fast-acting characteristics with opening times of 0.75–600 seconds at 135% of rated current, 0.15–5 seconds at 200%, and 0.030–0.100 seconds at 600% of rated current, with a minimum melting I²t of 25 A² sec. It is designed to SAE J2077 standard and is smaller than the predecessor ATO fuse, allowing more circuits to be individually fused in modern automobiles. The tan color-coded body provides visual identification, and the 0.018 O nominal cold resistance ensures minimal voltage drop during normal operation.
