DESCRIPTION

237-0890-000 is a MIL-DTL-5015 Type firewall connector manufactured by ITT Cannon, engineered to prevent the passage of +1093°C (+2000°F) flames for 20 minutes while maintaining electrical circuit integrity through aircraft engine firewalls. The connector features temperature capabilities to +204°C (+392°F) for more than 1000 hours, incorporates crimp front release contacts, and is available in multiple shell sizes (10SL through 36) with corresponding thread specifications ranging from 5/8-24UNEF-2A to 2-1/4-16UN-2A. It provides protection against high temperatures, emergency fire-retardant conditions, moisture, atmospheric changes, and is resistant to fuels and cleaning agents. These connectors are essential for military and commercial aircraft applications where firewall penetration with electrical circuits must maintain flame barrier integrity and meet stringent aerospace safety requirements.
