DESCRIPTION
The 120-8551-002 is a SURE-SEAL 4-contact (SS4R) receptacle connector designed for sealed, reliable electrical connections in harsh industrial environments. It features a Perbunan or Nitril-Butadien rubber shell with copper alloy contacts (tin plate for stamped, hard silver plate for machined), supporting wire ranges of 0.75–1.5 mm² (AWG 18–14) and 0.50–1.0 mm² (AWG 20–16). The connector delivers a contact resistance of 10 mO maximum, insulation resistance of 100 MO minimum, and dielectric withstanding voltage of 1200 VAC at sea level, with an operating temperature range of -40°C to +105°C. It achieves IP 67 sealing capability per DIN 40050 and passes rigorous environmental tests including salt spray, humidity (95% at 95°C for 1000 hours), dry heat (105°C for 1000 hours), vibration (10–55 Hz, 0.06" DA), and shock (50 g, 11 ms, 30 cycles). This connector is ideal for applications requiring durable, weatherproof connections in automotive, industrial control, and marine systems.
