DESCRIPTION

The 1590KBK is a rugged diecast aluminum alloy electronic instrument enclosure from Hammond's 1590 Series, engineered for general-purpose wall-mounting and water-tight applications. It features lap joint construction that provides protection against dust and splashing water while improving EMI/RFI shielding. The enclosure is finished with a textured black polyester powder coat for durability and includes black screws threaded into factory-tapped holes to enhance appearance. This water-tight version is designed to meet IP65 standards and includes a gasket (supplied loose inside the enclosure) for enhanced sealing. The diecast aluminum construction is tough yet easy to machine, with a low side wall draft angle for improved design flexibility. Common applications include electronic instrument housings, control panels, and protective enclosures in industrial, commercial, and field-mounted environments where weather resistance and EMI shielding are required.
