The MS2-KIT is the MicroScanner² Professional Kit, a comprehensive cable verification solution designed for cabling installation and maintenance technicians. It includes the MicroScanner² Cable Verifier with main wiremap adapter, IntelliTone™ Pro 200 Probe, Remote Identifiers #2-7, patch cords (shielded RJ45, RJ11, coax), and a deluxe Fluke Networks carry case. The kit supports testing of twisted-pair cables (UTP, FTP, SSTP) with 8-pin modular jacks accepting RJ45 and RJ11 connectors, as well as coax cables with F-connectors for 75O, 50O, and 93O impedances. Key capabilities include cable length measurement up to 460 m (1500 ft), wiremap testing to TIA-568A/B standards, Ethernet port speed detection (10/100/1000), PoE detection for 802.3af compatible devices, and graphical fault location showing miswires, reversals, split pairs, shorts, and breaks. The device features an oversized backlit LCD display, intuitive icon-based interface, and operates on two AA alkaline batteries, making it ideal for field technicians who require fast and accurate cable verification with no callbacks.
