DESCRIPTION

FTP-622DCL001 is a 24V drive interface board designed to control thermal printers with parallel Centronics interface connectivity. The board provides comprehensive control over thermal head drive, stepping motor drive, paper feed detection, and cutter drive functions through multiple connectors including CN1 (Centronics), CN8 (thermal head), CN10 (power supply), CN3 (sensor), CN5 (paper near-end detection), CN13 (stepping motor), and CN11 (cutter drive). It operates with dual power supplies: +5V for logic circuits and +24V for head and motor drive, supporting data transmission with timing specifications including data set time =0.5 µsec, PRSTB pulse =0.5 µsec, and data hold time =0.5 µsec. The board supports extensive printing commands via Centronics interface including bit image mode, barcode printing, paper cutting, and character formatting, making it suitable for thermal receipt printers, label printers, and similar thermal printing applications requiring precise motor and head control.
