DESCRIPTION
SM4002 is a push-on type N male to type N female adapter from Fairview Microwave designed to enable connections between RF components with different connector genders. The adapter operates across a frequency range from DC to 18 GHz with a maximum VSWR of 1.3:1, ensuring excellent impedance matching and signal integrity. It features gold-plated beryllium copper contacts with 0.3 µm minimum contact plating, PTFE insulation, and a 50 ohm characteristic impedance with straight body geometry. The adapter measures 1.33 inches in length and 0.79 inches in width, weighing 43.77 grams, and operates reliably across a temperature range of -55°C to +125°C with maximum operating voltage of 1,000 Vrms AC and dielectric withstand voltage of 2,500 Vrms AC. This adapter is commonly used in general-purpose RF test applications and serves as a connector saver to protect expensive equipment from wear during frequent connect and disconnect cycles.
